Kua 8 Mansions

8 Mansion or Kua Direction’s, is used to identify the auspicious and inauspicious locations and directions of a building as well as for an individual person.

Kua Directions, also known as 8 mansions formula, is very popular and one of the most powerful of compass school Feng Shui formulas. Its great merit lies in its easy practicality.

It deals with personalised auspicious and inauspicious directions, which anyone can benefit from. Once you know you’re most favourable directions, it is then only a matter of taking some time to check the directions you’re sitting and facing – when you sleep, sit, work or study, for instance.

Making this small effort is all that is needed to make the most of auspicious directions. Once you get into the habit of checking your directions, your life will never be the same again.

Calculating Kua Numbers

Step 1. Add the last 2 digits of your year of birth. EG (1968) 6 + 8 = 14. Bring it to a one digit number by adding the two digits 1 + 4 = 5. So, by using this example of the year of birth 1968, the number calculated in Step 1 is 5.

Step 2. If you are calculating the kua number for a female:

• Add number 5 to the number from Step 1 (5 + 5 = 10. Bring it to a one digit number by adding the two digits 1 + 0 = 1.

You have now found out the Kua Number for a female!

If you are calculating the kua number for a male:

• Deduct the number from Step 1 (5) from number 10. 10 - 5 = 5. And once again, you have just found the Kua Number for a male!

In classical feng shui, you are either a West or an East group person. Once you know your Kua number, you can easily find out your feng shui group, here it is:

WEST Group: Kua Number 2, Kua Number 5, Kua Number 6, Kua Number 7, Kua Number 8.

EAST Group: Kua Number 1, Kua Number 3, Kua Number 4, Kua Number 9 chart
